of food and beverage spending is done within the county. About 30 percent of respondents spend
over 80 percent of their food and beverage spending in the county. There is substantial spending outside
the county.
Those families
with employment outside the county have significantly less spending on food and
beverages inside the county. Their
spending is about 12 percent less than those without employment outside the
county. This difference in
spending is larger outside the Glenwood – Long Beach area.

farm employment have significantly less spending on food and beverages than

better selection, better service all are associated with increased local

respondents that spend between 20 and 60 percent within the county believed
that more selection and choice was more important to them to spend more than
