Project 3

Your objective is to create a two page report on computer disc to be turned in at the completion of the chapter.

The first page of the report should contain:

a table with four separate entries of the current population of the United States rounded to the nearest thousand.

calculations of the difference in population over each of the four intervals.

a scatter plot displaying the information in the table.

a rise/run triangle on the picture showing rate as a slope.

* As usual, creativity will increase your score.

The second page should consist of a report of the steps you went through to obtain the rate of population growth. Note any difficulties you may have encountered and where errors may have occurred. Explain how rate and slope are related.

Please be sure to use good sentence structure and spelling in this report. Include a title, introduction, and conclusion.
