Project 2

Your objective is to create a two page report on computer disc to be turned in at the completion of the chapter.

The first page of the report should contain:

a scatter plot of the United States, Minnesota, Stevens County, or Morris populations from 1940 to 1990 by decade.

a table of the collected data.

appropriate title, axis label, and legend information.

correct equation that accurately depicts data.

* As usual, creativity will increase your score.

The second page should consist of a report of the steps you went through to obtain the information in the table and scatter plot. Note any trends in the data that might be significant. Use two appropriate points form the data to find the equation of the line of best fit. Have the computer graph the line of best fit and use the equation to predict the population of the year 2000 and 2010.

If you used the internet and a search engine, you should include the key words used to find the site and the address of the site containing the information.

Please be sure to use good sentence structure and spelling in this report. Include a title, introduction, and conclusion.
