About 68 percent of automotive repair spending is done within the county.  About 54 percent of respondents get over 80 percent of their auto repairs within the county.

 

Families with employment outside the county seem to have less spending on auto repairs, but this difference is not statistically significant.  That is, we might observe differences like these just by chance, and not by any real difference in spending patterns.

 

Families living in Glenwood, Long Beach, Villard, and Starbuck were more likely to spend within the county.  Those in Cyrus, Farwell, Sedan, and Lowry had lower spending percentages within the county.

 

No evidence of different spending patterns for the different disposable income groups.

 

Advertising does not appear to be an important factor for spending more on

auto repairs within the county.

 

Good service and a good reputation are important factors related to spending more on repairs in the county.
