Your objective is to create
a two page report on computer disc to be turned in at the completion
of the chapter.
The first page of the report
use the video to make a table
of heights of the object verses the time interval in slow motion.
plot the data in the table
on a scatter plot.
use your calculator's quadratic
regression feature to find the formula of gravity.
repeat the above steps two
more times. You will then have three trials of the experiment.
* As usual, creativity will
increase your score.
The second page should consist
of a report of the steps you went through to obtain your information.
How do the different trials of the experiment compare? Would it
be appropriate to fit a line over the data you graphed? If not,
explain why. If a line were required, what would its equation
be? (pick one trial of the experiment) How does its fit compare
to the quadratic curve?
Note any difficulties you
may have encountered and where errors may have occurred.
Please be sure to use good
sentence structure and spelling in this report. Include a title,
introduction, and conclusion.
This project will be assessed
